## The village of orchards Lotzorai smells of citrus and summer tomatoes: its gardens supply markets across Ogliastra.

The centre is simple and alive — piazza bars, bakery, fishmonger — perfect for daily shopping when staying in the countryside.

## The Medusa castle On the hill above the village stand the ruins of the medieval Medusa castle, contested by the judges of Arborea and the Pisans: a sunset stroll among thousand-year walls, plain and sea at your feet.
