Key destinations

Cala Goloritzé (Monumento Naturale Italiano): 20 min by car, then 1 h on foot down to the sea. Cala Mariolu and Cala Luna are reached by boat from Santa Maria Navarrese (25 min), best early in the morning while the sea is still calm.

Selvaggio Blu (5-day trek): the start is at Pedra Longa, 15 min by car. Gorropu Gorge: 35 min by car, then 1 h on foot between rock walls that seem to grow taller with every step.

Baunei, Santa Maria Navarrese and Lotzorai are 5-20 min away by car, close enough for a morning coffee in the square. Tortolì: 25 min. Cardedu: 20 min.

Cagliari airport: 2 h by car. Olbia: 2 h 30. Porto Torres (ferries): 3 h. The last stretch runs through the interior, and every kilometre gets a little quieter.

How to get around

You will need a car, as there is no reliable public transport. Parking is free, in the courtyard. The roads are narrow but in good condition, and if you drive without hurrying you see more of the landscape along the way.

Airport transfers: we can book a taxi or a hire car for you in Cagliari or Olbia. Let us know 48 h in advance and everything will be ready when you land.
