Silence has a home, among the almond trees
A handful of rooms, a pool among the olive trees, the Ogliastra countryside as far as the eye can see. A boutique retreat where time slows down.

Not a hotel. Not simply countryside. I Mandorli is a way of being in the world: slow, authentic, essential. Every detail is chosen because luxury, here, is what is missing elsewhere — silence, space, time. Whether you're looking for a bed and breakfast for one night or an agriturismo for the whole week, here you'll find the same open door.

Classic Room
Stone, pale wood and natural linen. The Classic is made for those seeking true silence: soft morning light, the scent of almond trees beyond the window, and a farmhouse breakfast served every day.
- Breakfast included
- Air conditioning

Superior Room
The Superior is our most spacious room: high ceilings, a reading corner by the window and materials chosen one by one. At sunset the countryside turns gold and time slows down.
- Breakfast included
Sa Barza, water that tells a story
Cool off in our 42 m² Sa Barza pool, between the olive trees and the Ogliastra sky.
In Sardinian, sa barza is the stone basin that once gathered water for the fields. Ours has become something else: an essential pool set among olive and almond trees, to swim in the morning, read in the shade, watch the sky change colour. Not a pool: a place of the soul.
A place of relaxation with a story that began in 1887
In the Sardinian language, "Sa Barza" means "the water basin."
Around 1887, in this very spot, a large water basin was built to collect rainwater and irrigate the almond groves and farmland during the dry Sardinian summers.
For more than a century, the water stored here naturally supplied the surrounding fields and became an essential part of the history of our family farm.
But Sa Barza was more than an agricultural structure.
During the hottest summer days, the children who lived and worked on the estate came here to cool off, climbing in and out of the basin using its original stone steps.
Long before swimming pools became common, this was already a place of relaxation, laughter and shared memories.
A new panoramic pool inspired by history
The original basin no longer exists.
Today, its name and spirit live on in our new panoramic swimming pool, created beside the historic location.
To make this project possible, we purchased the neighbouring land and carefully designed a peaceful space where guests can relax while enjoying the natural beauty of Ogliastra, one of the most authentic regions of Sardinia.
Our philosophy is simple.
The true luxury is not the swimming pool itself.
It is the landscape that surrounds it.
Relax surrounded by nature in Ogliastra
From Sa Barza, just like from our rooms, terraces and gardens, your eyes wander across the countryside, the Monte Munduge and the ever-changing landscapes of Ogliastra.
Morning light, golden sunsets and the colours of every season create a different atmosphere every day.
Here, nature provides the scenery.
We simply invite you to enjoy it.
As Marcel Proust wrote:
"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."
This idea inspired the creation of Sa Barza.
Not to compete with large resorts.
But to offer something increasingly rare:
time, silence and authentic Sardinian hospitality.
Your holiday in Sardinia between the sea and the mountains
The crystal-clear beaches of the Gulf of Orosei, the coast of Baunei, Santa Maria Navarrese, Arbatax and many of the most beautiful places in Sardinia are only a short drive from our agriturismo.
After a day exploring hidden coves, mountain villages or scenic hiking trails, Sa Barza becomes the perfect place to slow down.
Read a book.
Enjoy the panoramic views.
Take a refreshing swim.
Or simply listen to the silence of the Sardinian countryside.
For almost 140 years, this place has offered refreshment, peace and well-being to everyone who has lived, worked or stayed here.
Today, we are delighted to share that same experience with our guests at Agriturismo I Mandorli.
