## The month Ogliastra slows down

In October the coast truly empties: the Gulf of Orosei coves remain reachable (boats from Santa Maria Navarrese run on good days most of the month) and the sea holds 21–23 degrees.

It is the time for long swims with no one around and late lunches on the beach.

## Hiking and wineries

With cooler air the great walks open up: the Su Gorropu gorge, the Golgo plateau, the panoramic stretches of the Selvaggio Blu.

And in the villages it is harvest time: the Cannonau wineries around Jerzu welcome you for real tastings, together with culurgiones and new olive oil.
