Cala Mariolu is reached by sea: the real question is how far you are from the right harbour. From I Mandorli, the Santa Maria Navarrese pier is ten minutes away — breakfast included before the first boat.
The perfect day
Takeaway breakfast at dawn (we deliver the coffee the evening before), harbour at 8:30, tickets collected (we can book them), first boat at 9. Mariolu before the big ferries: an hour of unreal water, then the Piscine di Venere and the Fico Cave. Back at 5pm, aperitif at the marina or straight home among the olives.
Why a farm stay and not a coast hotel
Sleeping in the countryside means cool, silent nights even in August, effortless parking, and cooking that puts you back on your feet after the sun. And in the evening, when the boats bring everyone back to the coast, you go the other way — towards silence.
