Bevor es ein Agriturismo wurde, ist I Mandorli eine Familiengeschichte: ein Landhaus bei Triei, gewachsen zwischen Oliven- und Mandelhainen, Stein für Stein restauriert, um alle zu empfangen, die das wahre Ogliastra suchen.
Built in 1887, the farmhouse was the heart of the Calia family's agricultural estate in Triei, Ogliastra. At the time, the property covered around 200 hectares, with almond groves, olive trees, vineyards and fields of wheat cultivated according to the rhythm of the seasons. After each harvest, the wheat was traditionally threshed in the ancient "Orgiola", the estate's historic threshing floor, located near today's parking area.
Today, the estate extends over approximately 20 hectares, preserving the same deep connection with nature that has defined it for more than a century. Walking through the grounds, guests can still discover remarkable historic trees, including the centuries-old cork oak beside the goose pond and the majestic cork oak of Sa Barza, both already standing when the estate was founded in 1887.
The farmhouse was carefully restored in 1999, respecting its original rural architecture. Local stone, lime plaster, wood and wrought iron were preserved wherever possible, maintaining the authentic character of the building while discreetly incorporating modern comforts for a relaxing stay.
The spirit of the estate remains rooted in its agricultural heritage. Seasonal vegetables are still harvested from our gardens, the olive trees continue to produce the estate's olive oil, and our cuisine celebrates fresh, authentic ingredients grown on the farm and sourced from the surrounding Ogliastra region.

Eine Familiengeschichte, in Stein gemeißelt
Das Landhaus I Mandorli ist das Ergebnis eines Familienprojekts, das über Jahre gewachsen ist — mit Sorgfalt für Materialien, Landschaft und Details. Jede Entscheidung folgte einer einfachen Frage: Wie geben wir diesem Ort seine ursprüngliche Würde zurück, ohne ihm etwas aufzuzwingen?
Viele Natursteinelemente des Anwesens — Böden, Gartenwege, Verkleidungen und Oberflächen — entstanden dank der Erfahrung unserer Familie in der Marmorverarbeitung. Der Stein ist hier der Faden, der das Landhaus mit dem Land verbindet: lebendiges Material, das mit den Jahreszeiten lebt und würdevoll altert.
Diese Tradition stammt von Apuane Marmi. Apuane Marmi ist unser Familienbetrieb, spezialisiert auf die Verarbeitung von Marmor, Granit, Quarzit und Naturstein für Wohnhäuser, Villen, Hotels und Gastbetriebe: italienisches Handwerk, das von Böden und Verkleidungen über Treppen, Schwellen und maßgefertigte Architekturelemente bis zur Sanierung historischer Gebäude reicht. Die Erfahrung unserer Familie in der Natursteinverarbeitung floss auch in die Restaurierung des Landhauses ein, wo zahlreiche Elemente aus Marmor und Stein unter Wahrung der ursprünglichen ländlichen Architektur entworfen und gefertigt wurden.
Auch deshalb fühlt sich I Mandorli nicht wie eine gewöhnliche Unterkunft an: Es trägt die Geschichte derer, die es gebaut haben — ein weitergegebenes Handwerk, das man in den Details wiedererkennt.
