Voordat het een agriturismo werd, is I Mandorli een familieverhaal: een landhuis bij Triei, gegroeid tussen olijfgaarden en amandelbomen, steen voor steen gerestaureerd om iedereen te verwelkomen die het echte Ogliastra zoekt.
Built in 1887, the farmhouse was the heart of the Calia family's agricultural estate in Triei, Ogliastra. At the time, the property covered around 200 hectares, with almond groves, olive trees, vineyards and fields of wheat cultivated according to the rhythm of the seasons. After each harvest, the wheat was traditionally threshed in the ancient "Orgiola", the estate's historic threshing floor, located near today's parking area.
Today, the estate extends over approximately 20 hectares, preserving the same deep connection with nature that has defined it for more than a century. Walking through the grounds, guests can still discover remarkable historic trees, including the centuries-old cork oak beside the goose pond and the majestic cork oak of Sa Barza, both already standing when the estate was founded in 1887.
The farmhouse was carefully restored in 1999, respecting its original rural architecture. Local stone, lime plaster, wood and wrought iron were preserved wherever possible, maintaining the authentic character of the building while discreetly incorporating modern comforts for a relaxing stay.
The spirit of the estate remains rooted in its agricultural heritage. Seasonal vegetables are still harvested from our gardens, the olive trees continue to produce the estate's olive oil, and our cuisine celebrates fresh, authentic ingredients grown on the farm and sourced from the surrounding Ogliastra region.

Het landhuis I Mandorli is het resultaat van een familieproject dat in de loop der jaren is gegroeid, met aandacht voor materialen, landschap en details. Elke keuze kwam voort uit één eenvoudige vraag: hoe geven we deze plek haar oorspronkelijke waardigheid terug, zonder te forceren?
Veel natuurstenen elementen van het landgoed — vloeren, tuinpaden, bekledingen en afwerkingen — zijn gemaakt dankzij de ervaring van onze familie in de marmerbewerking. Steen is hier de draad die het landhuis verbindt met het land eromheen: levend materiaal dat mooi oud wordt.
Deze traditie komt van Apuane Marmi.
