Ogliastra's "easy" sea: eight kilometres of fine white sand, water shallow for dozens of metres and small pink-granite coves alternating with dunes. The beach of carefree afternoons.
Why choose it
After days of trekking and hard-earned coves, Orrì is the perfect pause: park steps from the sand, the water is warm and clear, children play safely. Yet it is no ordinary beach: move towards Cea or Il Golfetto and you find near-empty corners of granite and maquis.
The beaches of Orrì
The coastline is a mosaic: the "central" Orrì with its beach clubs, the small and quiet Golfetto, Foxilioni with polished rocks, San Gemiliano watched over by its Spanish tower. Each has its own character — worth exploring them all in a week.
Our tips
- Early morning light on the pink granite is wonderful.
- Great in May and October too, when the shallow water stays warm.
- Sunset from San Gemiliano, tower in silhouette, ends the day well.
