Four hundred metres above the sea, a world apart: the Golgo is Baunei's wild plateau, where donkeys and goats roam free among twisted junipers, stone sheepfolds and the trails descending to the Mediterranean's finest coves.

From the Golgo the trails leave for Goloritzé, Sisine and the Codula: it is the crossroads of every hike on the Baunei coast. But the plateau deserves time of its own — the As Piscinas natural pool where herds drink, monumental holm oaks, silence broken only by goat bells.
Plateau life
The sheepfolds tell the story of Baunei's goatherds: some still work, others are now restaurants where kid goat is eaten under the stars. The Golgo's grey donkeys, curious and free, are the official welcome committee.
