Avant d'être un agritourisme, I Mandorli est une histoire de famille : un mas de campagne à Triei, grandi parmi les oliveraies et les amandiers, restauré pierre par pierre pour accueillir ceux qui cherchent la vraie Ogliastra.
Built in 1887, the farmhouse was the heart of the Calia family's agricultural estate in Triei, Ogliastra. At the time, the property covered around 200 hectares, with almond groves, olive trees, vineyards and fields of wheat cultivated according to the rhythm of the seasons. After each harvest, the wheat was traditionally threshed in the ancient "Orgiola", the estate's historic threshing floor, located near today's parking area.
Today, the estate extends over approximately 20 hectares, preserving the same deep connection with nature that has defined it for more than a century. Walking through the grounds, guests can still discover remarkable historic trees, including the centuries-old cork oak beside the goose pond and the majestic cork oak of Sa Barza, both already standing when the estate was founded in 1887.
The farmhouse was carefully restored in 1999, respecting its original rural architecture. Local stone, lime plaster, wood and wrought iron were preserved wherever possible, maintaining the authentic character of the building while discreetly incorporating modern comforts for a relaxing stay.
The spirit of the estate remains rooted in its agricultural heritage. Seasonal vegetables are still harvested from our gardens, the olive trees continue to produce the estate's olive oil, and our cuisine celebrates fresh, authentic ingredients grown on the farm and sourced from the surrounding Ogliastra region.

Une histoire de famille sculptée dans la pierre
Le mas I Mandorli est le fruit d'un projet familial construit dans le temps, avec attention aux matériaux, au paysage et aux détails. Chaque choix est né d'une question simple : comment rendre à ce lieu sa dignité d'origine, sans le forcer.
De nombreux éléments en pierre naturelle de la propriété — sols, allées du jardin, revêtements et finitions — ont été réalisés grâce à l'expérience de notre famille dans le travail du marbre. La pierre est ici le fil qui relie le mas à la terre qui l'entoure : une matière vivante qui vieillit bien.
Cette tradition vient de Apuane Marmi. Apuane Marmi est notre entreprise familiale spécialisée dans le travail du marbre, du granit, de la quartzite et des pierres naturelles pour habitations, villas, hôtels et structures d'accueil : un artisanat italien qui va des sols et revêtements aux escaliers, seuils et éléments architecturaux sur mesure, jusqu'à la restauration de bâtiments historiques. L'expérience de notre famille dans le travail de la pierre naturelle a également été appliquée à la restauration du mas, où de nombreux éléments en marbre et en pierre ont été conçus et réalisés dans le respect de l'architecture rurale d'origine.
C'est aussi pour cela qu'I Mandorli ne ressemble pas à un hébergement ordinaire : il porte l'histoire de ceux qui l'ont bâti, un métier transmis que l'on reconnaît dans les détails.
